Where did you grow up?
I was born in Salt Lake City but grew up in Butte Montana. I Moved from Butte to Arizona when I was 15 to live with my dad and chase my dreams of playing pro baseball…

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
I love anything Pittsburgh/sports related. If you mix the both it’s a perfect storm (Steelers, Penguins, Pirates). However, over the past 7 years I have replaced some pro sports with my own kids sports. And while other people might not find it as entertaining as I do haha but to me I wouldn’t trade it…if I have anymore free time I love to golf and do yoga.

What is your occupation?
I’m a marketing rep for Melaleuca.com. It’s allowed me to coach or attend of all my kids activities and for that I’ll be forever grateful!

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I googled it on wodifind or something like that back in the early days and the creation of the internet…seriously though, Growing up I was never really fit but I’ve always been sort of athletic (I loved sports but I didn’t understand the value of training)…So I figured once my playing days were over CrossFit was a perfect mix of both athleticism and fitness…I lived off of Jomax and 67th ave and blade came up as the closest box and the rest is history (even though there are 2-3 boxes closer).

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Anything snatching…it is such a humbling movement and something I never really did before CrossFit so it’s been fun to learn and get better at the movement…I still have a ways to go but 200lb snatch is coming in the near future…

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Thrusters and bar facing burpee…I don’t think I need to explain anything here haha!

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being a member of Blade for 7+ years…

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
No particular song but anything Eminem…Tbh I normally do not hear the music during the workout but when Eminem comes on you may actually catch me bobbing my head/singing the song…

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
I want to get a ring muscle up… the open is around the corner and I’ve waited to try because I’d like to get a point for my team since it’s been a few years since I contributed anything to a team. Haha. I’d also like to achieve the fight for 5 club because consistency is something I’ve never been very good at but have been working really hard towards in all aspects of my life (as I write this I’m on a plane about to take a week off, so I got some work to do)!
