Where did you grow up?
I was born in Omaha Nebraska, but was raised here in Arizona.

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
I enjoy running, hiking, and softball. I enjoy being outside and being active mostly with my three baby dogs.

What is your occupation?
I am a registered nurse in the emergency department at Mayo Clinic Hospital. I am also serving part time in the Arizona Army National Guard. Recently I flew Apache Helicopters and now I am doing the nursing thing there instead of flying.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I was introduced by Robert Weiser, I worked with Robert and he kept trying to get people at work to try it and I kept telling him that I needed to get in shape first and so finally I caved and tried it. My first day we did lunges and running, when the group hit the door to go run I thought hey I can run about 10 meters into the run I fell, and I fell so hard my shoulder and both knees were destroyed. I signed up as soon as class was over.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Squat cleans are my favorite movement, and I love long endurance workouts, like the triple three. I love running!!!

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Pull ups pretty much any WOD with pulls up. I do not have strict or kipping pull ups yet so I am currently not a fan, but hoping to change that soon. Body weight movements and WODs are challenging or me

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Figuring out the Snatch, that movement is so hard and I am finally figuring it out. I had a 20 pound PR last month.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
I am really digging Anthony’s playlist, but have no favorite song, I just like it violent and loud.

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
I would like to get strict pull ups and handstand pushups and a faster one mile run. I would like to get a mile under 7 minutes. I would also like to continue to improve on all of my Olympic weight lifts.

I love…. I eat…. I will… I am…
I love God and Country, my three awesome dogs and family, and my Blade community. I eat a lot better now that the blade coaches have shown me how to eat better, I will continue to be determined and stay positive. I am thankful for my family, Blade coaches and Blade family.
