Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
Not sure? I feel like I had hobbies before CrossFit. I like movies, drawing, and camping. I also work occasional weekends as an airbrush tattoo artist. Honestly though, If I have free from work or school, I would rather be at the Box than doing anything else.

What is your occupation?
I work for a special needs school running a focused behavior intervention program for the school district as well as on-campus reassignment for our school. What it basically means is that I enforce discipline for kids between 1st and 12th grades for various reasons. I dodge and catch punches on a daily basis and I love what I do because I am the one who gets to get the kids calm and back to their classrooms to learn again. I am in school to become a child’s psychologist and my job couldn’t be better experience or training. I discovered a love for working with kids a few years ago and from then on I have known it was what I wanted to do.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I had heard of something called CrossFit but I never knew what it was. Fitness has never been my strength. I didn’t want to exercise because I have never looked out of shape, just skinny. Trying to lift weights would either have no effect on me or I would injure myself. Then I saw the 2013 CrossFit Games playing on ESPN and I thought that maybe it would work for me. I lucked out in picking Blade as the Box I would attend.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
I am probably one of the few people who will say running. I have an advantage in it but I also do truly enjoy it if its 400 meters or more. Rowing and running WOD’s always get me excited. If rope climbs are involved I will be giddy the whole day. My love for gymnastics and Oly lifting movements is growing as I improve in them.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Burpees. Nuff said.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Just being where I am now one year after starting CrossFit. I improve every day and that is all I can ask for.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
You play any classic rock and I’m good to go. I was raised on Metallica and ACDC.

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
Participate in a competition besides the open. I have yet to compete and I am looking forward to seeing what I can do in that kind of setting.
