Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Phoenix! I was born in Illinois, but moved here when I was little. I met Mike and moved to Seattle for 7 years and then we had babies and wanted to raise them with family, so we decided to move back!
What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
Watching my kids play sports, camping, hiking, spending time with my family and taking trips together.
What is your occupation?
I am a stay~at~home mom……and sometimes a bartender!
How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
Mike introduced me to Crossfit! I had never even picked up a barbell when I walked into Blade, so to say I was scared would be an understatement! I remember having to lay down on Chris’ couch in his office after my first WOD while him & Mike talked about signing us up.
What is your favorite WOD/Movement?
I love deadlifts, cleans, HSPU and it still surprises me that I can do pull~ups!! Would have never even imagined I could do one before coming to Blade!
What is your least favorite WOD/Movement?
Thrusters, wall balls, OH squats…..see a pattern here?? All things squats are not my favorite!!
What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my consistency! I have never been consistent about working out before this! I would go to the gym and do whatever was super easy and never push myself! We have been at Blade for 2 1/2 years and I try really hard to be there 5 days/week. I hurt my shoulder and have had to do a lot of modifying which is pretty humbling, but have managed to stay pretty consistent.
What is your favorite song to WOD to?
As long as the music is on, I am happy!! I love ALL different kinds of music, so I love the variety we get with the different coaches!
What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
Efficient double unders…..after all of this time, I am still so bad at them!! A faster mile, to get better at push~ups and to just get stronger all around and be a better athlete!

I will…get better at squats so I don’t dread them so much!!
I am…so incredibly grateful for our INCREDIBLE coaches and all that I have learned from them!! I am so blessed to be a part of such an AMAZING community!! I am also so very honored to be the BAM!! 🙂
