Where did you grow up?
Small rural/farming town in southern Minnesota by the name of Fairmont. Population 10,000, so everyone knew everyone, and since I grew up with my Father as Chief of Police of Fairmont, everyone definitely knew me. Not always so fun as a teenager and I definitely like the anonymity of the bigger city!

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
Camping, riding our toys (side by sides, quads and bikes), hiking (not the hard up hill both ways kind but the even pace nice walk kind 🙂 ) reading, playing board games and card games w/ my girls or just having Sunday morning coffee with my girls and chatting..does that count as a hobby?

What is your occupation?
Controller of a Telecommunications Firm in Scottsdale

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
Challenge Class almost a year and a half ago from a friend who begged me to go through it with her. Cory Allen kicked my very out of shape and much larger butt for 6 weeks.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Deadlift or Power Cleans – two movements I can actually almost do the way you are supposed to…sometimes…. 🙂

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Burpees, Box over Burpees, Bar over Burpees, Partner Burpees…….yep I really really do not like Burpees!

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
I had to think the longest on this question. Honestly I am proud of almost every workout I make it through and every movement has improved so much this past year for me, but if I had to pick one or two it would be running my first mile in a work out and graduating to a 20 in box on box jumps.
Probably the two least exciting movements, but I am terrible at running and scared to death of jumping on that box so they were two pretty big wins for me I guess (still are if you have ever worked out with me and watched me survive a mile or do a long work out on a 20 inch box painfully slow on each
jump 🙂

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
Anything NF or Seether (Fake it) but honestly most workouts I am so focused on just living through the workout I don’t always hear the music playing.

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
Double Unders…I would love to get better at anything to do w/ squats (snatch, clean & jerk)….work in progress……

Fill in the blank: I love… I eat… I will… I am…
I love my family. My girls and husband are my everything. They are the reason I want to be healthier (able to enjoy more life) and set a good example for my girls.
I eat clean 90% of the time and healthier today than I have…..well ever in my life I think….This is 100% due to Crossfit. Every day I work out I am reminded that I need to stay focused.
I will continue to grow and improve in life and in Crossfit. Crossfit reminded me of the importance of meeting challenges and growth in every aspect of my life, including nutrition and exercise, but not solely in this area.
I am a better version of myself (thanks Coach Chris – I have stolen your saying and have used it often with others…always giving you credit….. as I find it so very true of what Crossfit has brought me and my life)
