Where did you grow up?
I grew up everywhere, my dad was in the military so we travelled the world ever 3 years.  Finished high school in Illinois and went to college in Boulder, CO.What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?

Hobbies are hanging out with the family and reading.

What is your occupation?

I manage computer system applications for a large Defense company.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?

When I pulled out of the parking lot of Mountainside fitness, I noticed across the street was a CrossFit, the next day I emailed Chris and said I was on the way.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?

I honestly don’t have one!  I am just glad I try each movement to the best of my ability for the day.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?

This should not be a surprise to anyone, I can’t stand running.  I remember the first 3 months was just to make it through the Thursday session without feeling like I was having a heart attack in the process, or just pass out as I was running that mile.  I feel as though because I am a bit shorter I have to work 3 times harder to just make it through the run.  I start talking to myself as I hit the Tire place just asking myself why I do this only to come back around telling myself I am almost done.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?

The RX Push up!  I was diagnosed with RA – Rheumatoid Arthritis about 9 to 10 years ago, and I remember standing in a Target looking down at a screaming kid (yes my son) and not being able to pick the him up and just give him a hug.  I never thought in my life I would have my strength back where I could open a jar, keep up with my family and I not feel weak any more.

CrossFit changed my life.  I remember the day I did the pushup, it was during Frankie’s ThursdayWod and I asked him if I could just do one and then go to the box.  From this day, I have set mini goals with the push up working my way up to 12 per round then heading to the box.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?

Girl power music!  But the best was JT on the fifth round 2 weeks ago when Frankie helped me finish out the WOD by joking around and sing.

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?

I would love to be able to do a Pull up by by the end of the year, just one and I will be set.  I actually wrote this one on the board so we will see.

I love…. I eat…. I will… I am…

Ha, I can’t really share to much in this area because I like when people think I am a good girl!
