Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Florida in a very small town just north of Tampa. I really thought I would never leave that area. I spent the first 35 years of my life there. We got an amazing opportunity that brought us to Phoenix and we have lived here 6 years now and absolutely love it!

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
Currently, it seems like our hobby is whatever sport our son is playing…and our daughter will add to that list soon!  However, I spent over 18 years of my life in the dance studio, so I love dancing. We love anything outdoors too.  Jason and I are also HUGE college football fans, so Saturdays in the fall are committed to Michigan football for Jason, and the Florida Gators for me.

What is your occupation?
I work for Federated Insurance and sell commercial insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I have to admit I was one of those people that was “anti-crossfit” for a long time.  I would hear horror stories about bad form, bad technique, injuries, etc. and then Jason stopped into Blade to try it. He raved about it and about how good the coaching was and said I should try it.  That is all it took and we are hooked!  I doubt the coaching and attention to proper form is this thorough everywhere…we are so lucky to have found Blade!!!

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
I am really enjoying the gymnastic movements.  I am getting some of the movements that I thought I would never achieve and it is so fun!!

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Thrusters. We don’t like each other. At all.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Easy!  My first strict pull-up this month. You would have thought I won the Super Bowl with how excited I got. That was my #1 goal when we joined in May of last year.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
I am a hip-hop girl.  If I can dance to it, I like to work out to it.  Anthony and Terra usually get me tapping my feet 😉

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
I can’t wait to hit “Rx” more often! I need to get stronger.  I also want to get a bar muscle up within the next year.
