Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Ontario Canada. My husband Luke and I moved to Arizona 10 years for his career.

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
My hobbies have changed over the years since having kids, but my biggest passion and hobby was equestrian riding and jumping as well as working out. My entire life aside from working was spent at the barn or in a gym.

What is your occupation?
My biggest and most important work is the nurturing of my 3 boys Carson (10), Lukas (8) and Levi (5), but 6 years ago, after experiencing some remarkable health changes with the Juice Plus products I decided to to become a representative for the Juice Plus Company. I have now turned my part time “hobby” into a profitable viable business…it has been a blessing to continue my mission as a mom and my it has fueled my passion for nutrition and health.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I had heard the term Crossfit, but like many I had some preconceived notion’s of what it was. It was not until I was on a training call for my business that was led by 2 Crossfit box owners and 2 Crossfit athletes, they were speaking about the importance of plant based nutrition as it pertained to combating Oxidative Stress after workouts….I was so inspired by all of them, but one lady in particular stood out to me. She was a grandma in her 60’s and she was speaking about how she is in better shape than when she was in her 30’. Heading into my 40’s it was a goal of mine to be in the best shape of my life by the time I turn 40… I told my husband I was going to start researching Crossfit gyms and the very next day my friend Lisa Swank told be that she was heading to a trial class at Blade Crossfit…the rest is history!!

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
I don’t have on particular favorite Wod, but my favorite movements are pushups, handstand push ups, box jumps, burpee’s, push press and running…so any wod with those movements in it and I am a happy girl.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
My least favorite movement is definitely Thrusters and wall balls (although I am feeling stronger at wall balls lately). Something about below the “crease” that kills me!!

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my handstand pushups…I am on the brink of getting a lot more movements, but I don’t feel like any of them are at a place that I can hit consistently throughout a workout.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
My favorite music to workout to has always been hard pumping tecno beats…I love the energy pumping music. My least favorite is “easy listening”. I need to feel my adrenaline pumping…

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
Crossfit has definitely been a very humbling experience for me…it takes a lot more time than I ever expected to get the movements down, but I am hoping to accomplish Butterfly Pull-Ups, Double Under’s and ring dips next.
