Where did you grow up?
I am a rare, born and raised Phoenix native. I moved to Hawaii for a few years and found my way back home to AZ.
What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
Prior to crossfit I loved anything outdoors. I grew up offroad racing sandrails, rhinos and dirtbikes. Then I started training for offroad triathlons and canoe raced in Hawaii. Now I love spending time with my Frankie and Tankie on my free time.
What is your occupation?
I am a Physical Therapist. I work primarily with the Geriatric population which is incredibly rewarding. I love getting those old fogies standing and walking again.
How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I was introduced to Crossfit by a few friends in my PT class, one of them being Brittney Anderson Peters. (I love you tweedle dee.)
What is your favorite WOD/movement?
My favorite WODs would be Helen, Angie or Annie aka BODY WEIGHT. My favorite movement, however, is Hang Cleans.
What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Overhead Squats. Anything overhead is terrible and then you add a squat into the mix and I’m donzo.
What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Finishing my first WOD this year with RX HSPU. I’ve been struggling to get my first HSPU for 2.5 years and finally got one and recently finished my first WOD. Tears of joy.
What is your favorite song to WOD to?
It may seem morbid but “Killing in the name of” by Rage Against the Machines. I’m actually a very happy person.. but it gets me pumped!!
What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
I would LOVE to get my muscle ups (bar and/or ring)!
Fill in the blank:I love…I eat…I will…I am…
I love…My God, my Frankie and Tankie, and my family (Blade and blood)
I eat…Desert Donuts every weekend, Frankie’s Way (extra-extra icing)
I will…Achieve all the goals I have set for myself for 2016, INCLUDING my first Muscle up.
I am…Blessed to have found Blade, loyal to the people I love, and faithful to my God.
