Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Southern California just northeast of LA.
What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
I have a lot of hobbies: anything to do with dogs, off-roading, soccer, going to shows/music, reading, motorcycles, and crocheting are my top though.
What is your occupation?
I am a chemical engineer.
How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I had always gone to a Globo gym but found it so uninspiring and did not have any motivation to be there. My best friend tried Crossfit and told me about it. That same day I found a gym and called them because I had been really struggling to make fitness a priority. From that first onboarding class I was hooked. I loved the structure and variability. Shortly after I joined, I talked Josh into trying it out. Working out with him helps me keep me motivated and its always a plus doing something with your best friend.
What is your favorite WOD/movement?
My favorite WOD would have to be DT.
What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
My least favorite movements are running and burpees!!
What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Getting into the 300 club on my deadlift, climbing the rope for the first time, and podiuming on the 2 competitions I have been a part of.
What is your favorite song to WOD to?
This is impossible to answer but Amon Amarth’s “Put Your Back Into the Oar” and “Twilights of the Thunder Gods” always gets me hyped up. I also love 90’s Hip Hop for lifting and punk or metal for high energy Metcons.
What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
I turn 40 in September, so I have a goal of getting my first ever strict pull up before then, and it is a lifelong goal to get into the 300 club on my back squat. Honestly, after the 3 years we took off Crossfit it’s been a really long time since I have PR’d anything so I would be hyped to get back to some/any of my old numbers.
Fill in the blank: I love…. I eat…. I will… I am….

I will…continue to better myself.
I am…so excited to see where I am a year from now.
