Where did you grow up?
I grew up in southern CA graduating from Cerritos High. I went to Cal State Fullerton for my undergraduate degree and then to Pepperdine Law School in Malibu.

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
My hobbies include any outdoor activities, traveling, self-proclaimed foodie (especially local ice cream spots), and more recently a sneakerhead (the sneaker game is so different now).

What is your occupation?
I have been a federal agent with the US Postal Inspection Service for over 17 years. My official title is Postal Inspector – Team Leader.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
Brian Bowman invited me to try a workout in 2011 after I told him I needed something to do between running races. We started at another gym and eventually ended up at Blade. I was a member of the first Blade Honing School!

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Deadlift/Burpees – Nothing technical, just pick up the bar or hit the floor and get up.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Any movement heavy on shoulders: HSPU, strict press, and snatch.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
The accomplishment I’m most proud of is longevity in this sport. The ability to listen to my body as I age and recognize the importance of stretching, proper sleep, and nutrition is a game changer.

West Coast Wednesday’s playlist

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
No injuries and another 10 years or more in this sport.
