Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Arizona; went to high school and college in Texas.

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
You will find me on the sidelines or the stands of any sport 1 or more of my kids are playing. I love to hike, kayak and be anywhere near water – but not necessarily in it i.e. a dirty lake or the ocean. No gracias. Nerd alert – I love small business and entrepreneurship and am always researching ways to be more efficient and effective. I love to create and problem solve.

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
I had recently moved to the North Phoenix area. Dana Burkhardt checked into Crossfit Blade on FB and I asked her about it. The next day I was in the 5:00 a.m. bromance class at North.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
WOD: I like a 10 minute AMRAP or EMOM’s; hard, fast, straight to the point – and most recently partner WOD’s with my guy. Movement: Deadlift or clean.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
WOD: The long ones…with running. Movement: Snatch with a bar; but have a new fondness towards them using DB’s during this season of quarantine.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
It’s simple. I’m proud that I continue to show up to the arena that most intimidates me; surrounded by athletes who intimidate me.

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
Anthony’s playlists are always my fave. They speak straight to my hip hop soul.

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
There’s not one thing in particular I’d like to accomplish per se – there’s a ton of room for improvement in all areas. As long as I continue to show up regardless of how intimidated I am – that is an accomplishment in and of itself. The short answer – double unders.
